Welcome to Empowered Early Learning Academy! My name is Sadie Owens, and I am so excited to welcome you and your students to preschool.

I was born and raised in Canton, and have spent my career educating and empowering students in the area. I spent most of that time with the YMCA of Central Stark County, where I created lesson plans for Pre-K through 8th grade scholars. I have also used my degree in Political Science and Education Studies to teach creative writing to incarcerated students. These experiences have allowed me to learn how to create programs that suit each classroom and child, regardless of the environment, age, or level of need.

As a child, my educators were always advocates for me, so I am passionate about making programs accessible and exciting for everyone. Through focusing on social emotional skills and providing adaptive curriculum, I believe that the classroom can be a place where everyone feels at home! This is why each of my scholars receive an individualized learning plan tailored not only to their needs, but to their interests and passions. It is this way that I believe we can set any student of any level up not only to reach their goals, but to love learning.

I have also seen firsthand the importance of working together with families to set students up for success. It is because of this that my door will always be open, whether it is to hear feedback about our program, provide information, or just to have a chat! My goal is to make each scholar’s family feel supported during their time at EELA, and to work together to create a nurturing and personalized educational environment. I am so excited to get to know caregivers and students alike, and am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the “village” that it certainly takes to raise the next generation.
